I do want to clarify that the beliefs held by the Yokuts that I present in this video are little simplified. After several conversations with the representative, they further explained to me that the Yokuts believe that the Hairy Man is a tribe of people, a tribe of spiritual people that can walk in both worlds: in the spirit and in flesh-and-blood. They are endowed with the abilities to transform, speak, and heal. The Yokuts explicitly do NOT believe them to be ape-like/Sasquatch-like creatures. The interpretation of the Hairy Man held by Bigfooters is simply incorrect and does not reflect the actual beliefs of the Yokuts.

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers - so that Allah may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward.

Only 0:49 seconds in and many of these depictions are innaccurate or were found to not be transitional after all. A salamander is a perfect transition between a frog and a lizard, but it isn't. Let's not make the mistake of thinking that any animal apparently bridging the gap between two or more species in terms of attributes is a link. This is a err of missing link of the gaps.

35:37 Well isn't "Allah" as simple translation of "God"? There is no other word for God in the Arabic language and Islam always has recognized Jesus as one of the prophets. The god is the same, only the rite differs. So, there is no way the Pope would have been offended by the engraving.

Some of the 'mystical' stuff could even be explained. Like the 'two heads' could've been a mother carrying their child. Transformation into a wolf could just be them going from bipedal to quadrapedal to charge. Even the snake with big feet. Think of how something like orangutans move. Orangutans also use tools like spears.

The little people could've been another small species. Also the fact that they were cannibals and tricked people into eat Native Americans could be explained by prions. The same thing that causes mad cow disease.

Pseudoscientific nonsense. Gigantopithecus was a giant ice age orangutan from Asia. Sasquatch is a man-made mythological creature. There is no connection between them, nor does it make any sense for there to be a connection. Bigfoot is more than just "big" and "ape", and Gigantopithecus pays no resemblance to it other than those two very superficial attributes.

@@TheRipdub Also, you're taking the exact same approach as the hacks who perpetuate the "Native bigfoot" phenomenon by looking at all this disparate mythology and trying to rationalize how it HAS to represent bigfoot instead of the obvious conclusion that's just a bunch of random, unrelated folklore that depicts various different ideas that have nothing to do with hairy bipedal apes. Confirmation bias to the extreme.

Marco Polo the 13th century explore told of his witness of Dragons sounding much T-Rexs on his Trip to China. Polo's description is as follows from Chapter XL of the Thomas Wright translation ("On the province of Karazan"): "Here are seen huge serpents, ten paces in length, and ten spans in the girt of the body. At the fore−part, near the head, they have two short legs, having three claws like those of a tiger, with eyes larger than a fourpenny loaf (pane da quattro denari) and very glaring. The jaws are wide enough to swallow a man, the teeth are large and sharp, and their whole appearance is so formidable, that neither man, nor any kind of animal, can approach them without terror." Polo then mentions how these "serpents" live in caverns, and drag themselves to bodies of water ("to drink"). Polo then gives a very detailed account of how they were supposedly hunted, the medicinal uses of its gall bladder, how highly esteemed the meat was, and then...moves on to horses. No mention of pets that I see.
